Keep “Chilling Out” – How to Do Refrigerator Maintenance
Some regular, simple maintenance can help keep your refrigerator and freezer working well for years. If you do just one thing for your home this month, do some refrigerator maintenance:
- If you have a self-defrosting refrigerator, be sure to clean the drain pan out if it can be removed. If you have any trouble with this you can call us at 1-800-800-8356 or schedule service.
- Use your condenser brush (it’s the one that looks like a big pipe cleaner from the craft store), and clean your cooling fan and condenser coils. These coils are usually under your refrigerator.
- Wipe down the door seal with warm soapy water. Make sure it’s not torn. It should fit the frame snugly.
