Since 1995, when Home-Tech became employee owned, the employees of Home-Tech have had a stake in what happens. It makes a difference. The company has tripled in size because the employee owners share the drive and enthusiasm of our founder, Steve Marino. You will experience a significantly increased level of customer service, pride in workmanship, and the “bending over backward” to get the job done right. It is important to all of the employees of Home-Tech to satisfy every customer. We never want to lose a single one!
Your coverage never runs out!
Unlike manufacturers’ extended warranties and other service plans that expire after so many months or years, your Home-Tech Service Agreement is renewable each year. So there’s no worry that your agreement has ended when something breaks. Is it time to renew your coverage?
You can be covered on every appliance you own.
Your appliances can always be “covered” – regardless of make, model, or age. We will also cover more than one of the same appliance. So, if you have an extra refrigerator or dishwasher, it’s covered (for a small additional fee).

You will receive service from well trained technicians.
In our ads, catalogs and TV commercials, you’ve probably heard us talk about how all of our technicians are NATE certified. You might wonder, “Who the heck is NATE and why should I listen to him?” Allow us to clarify. NATE isn’t a person. It’s an acronym for North American Technician Excellence. NATE is a non-profit certification program for technicians in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration industry. It’s the only certification that is supported and recognized by the entire industry. In layman’s terms, technicians who earn NATE certification have been tested by industry experts and know their stuff. Big time market research and customer satisfaction companies have also polled customers that used both NATE certified and non NATE certified technicians to install new air-conditioners or service air-conditioning units. According to their research, customers who used NATE certified technicians had:
- Fewer call backs and warranty returns
- Increased energy efficiency, resulting in lower utility bills
- Jobs done right, the first time
- Fast, efficient service
Some common complaints about jobs done by non certified technicians included poor air quality, less efficient energy usage, and explosions. We are not trying to scare you. But there are plenty of reasons to be glad you will receive service from technicians with NATE certification! It’s just another way we give our customers peace of mind.

As a licensed Florida company, we adhere to stringent state requirements regulated by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation according to regulations defined in Chapter 634, Part II, Service Warranty Associations. Florida Licensed Since 1985
Home-Tech maintains cash deposits and/or surety bonds to ensure performance. We maintain sound financial stability. We report all Service Agreements sold and premiums collected to the State of Florida. In addition we submit to audits by the office of Insurance Regulations every two or three years and hold reserves of all premiums collected until the expiration date of the Service Agreement.
