Our technicians are trained in the latest technology in the air-conditioning and appliance industries.
They learn through hands on experience with appliances, and our simulated training system (complete with an air-conditioning unit and ductwork).
In addition to in-house training at Home-Tech’s headquarters in Fort Myers, Home-Tech’s service technicians are also required to be NATE certified (North American Technician Excellence). NATE certification is the “gold” standard in our industry. It includes completion of stringent training on air-conditioning and heat pump installation and service.
According to Home-Tech’s training manager, “New technicians, (less than 2 years experience) after going through their 8 week/FULL TIME apprenticeship program, receive 12 – 14 hours of additional training a month. That adds up to over 160 hours annually. This does not include special training sessions, which happen infrequently during the year to keep up with product changes. Home-Tech is constantly keeping up with the changes in technology.”
