The 18th Annual PACE Center for Girls of Manatee’s Thanksgiving luncheon was held today, Tuesday, November 20 at 11:30 at the Congregational United Church. PACE Manatee’s girls and their families were invited for a traditional Thanksgiving lunch with all the trimmings! Friends of the PACE Center for Girls, board members and volunteers attend this festive occasion every year. PACE is especially thankful this year for the partnership with Trinity Lutheran Church, whose members and staff are providing all of the desserts, 15 volunteers for set up and serving, and cost of the turkeys for the meal. At the conclusion of the lunch, the girls are dismissed with their families for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The girls of PACE gave a wonderful presentation during the luncheon, telling everyone what they are thankful for this year. These were just a few of the statements they shared:

Why We Love PACE Center for Girls
Home-Tech supports PACE in Lee and Manatee counties because we believe in investing in the futures of our communities. Through education, counseling, training and advocacy, PACE provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future. Both Sonya Sawyer and Elise Lipoff Ramer serve on PACE boards. We support their dynamic events, like the RACE for PACE and Love that Dress.
What really hits home about the PACE Center for Girls are the positive influences we can provide to these girls. Just being around them, and showing our support for them as they continue to change, grow and learn, makes a huge difference. Giving back to the PACE girls helps them, but it also helps us. We have an incredible opportunity to empower young girls through positive support and encouragement. Home-Tech thanks the girls of PACE for all the wonderful memories they have given and continue to give to each of us.
