Dual Threat QuarterbackSP32 20170202 112031

A dual threat quarterback in football terms is one who is equally gifted at running and throwing. This is a game winning combination and difficult to defend against. For your Big Game party you might as well look at upgrading to the top of the line in professional appliances. Home-Tech features Thermador products in our Member Appliance Centers. Our staff would love to show you this beauty.

big-game-party-foodMan to Man

In football this is when a defensive player is assigned to cover an offensive player all over the field. For your Big Game party this is the one time to bring out all of the man food that you can possibly think of. Here’s a great recipe to get your inspiration started. It has three of men’s favorite ingredients – bacon, beer and cheese.

Ingredients For Your Shopping List

  • 6 strips Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 large cloves Garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp Thyme, fresh leaves
  • 1/2 cup Wispride- or kaukauna-brand sharp cheddar cheese spread
  • 8 oz Elbow macaroni
  • 3 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper, fresh cracked
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 tbsp Butter, unsalted
  • 2 cup Cheddar cheese, sharp
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 3/4 cup Stout beer

Eligible Receiver

This is an offensive player who is able to receive a forward pass. Not everyone is eligible to touch the ball. So this is a good time to talk about illegal touching. You don’t want everyone spreading germs at your party using their fingers to pick up the foods. Provide fun toothpicks for everyone to use. One of the most-served toothpick foods is meatballs. Check out this amazing crock pot recipe for Tennessee Whiskey Meatballs.

Fumble

In football terminology this is when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled) or scores. A fumble at your party is when someone drops a plate of food on your couch or spills a glass of red wine on your upholstery or carpet. We recommend you follow the links to these clean up tips for both of these situations.

Super Bowl Ringfruit ring

Did you know that the winning and losing teams in a Super Bowl both get Super Bowl rings? The losers’ rings are less valuable. They can be distributed to players or coaches or whomever the organization would like to give them to. We recommend a fruit Super Bowl Ring for your party so there is a healthy, low calorie option for your guests.

Red Zone

The Red Zone in football is the area between the 20 yard line and the goal line. For your Big Game party “red zone” how about trying this delicious Oreo Red Velvet Cookie Bar recipe from Pinterest. Yum! Thanks to Crazy for Crust for the recipe!

Turnover

In football this is where the team without the ball loses it without kicking it and the other team gains possession. For your party try these Creamy Chicken and Corn Turnovers. Everyone will love them!

IMG 9977The 12th Man

The 12th man in football is the noisy crowd cheering on their team. Sometimes they can make a difference in the game because the play call can’t be heard. Did you know that the KC Chiefs Arrowhead Stadium holds the record for loudest stadium at 142.2 decibels? Your 12th man at your party, lending a hand, could be your dog.

Dogs love to help with clean up of any spills or crumbs or even with the pre-rinse on your dishwasher. If you need a dishwasher repair before your Big Game party be sure to hurry up and give us a call.  We know you won’t want to be hand washing all of your dishes, especially if you have a large crowd in for the game.

Receiving Team

Your receiving team is all of your friends that will be taking home leftovers. Martha Stewart suggests you use chinese/asian takeout containers to pack up the leftovers for your party guests. We think that’s a great idea and here’s a link where you can purchase some. Or try any restaurant supply source.

Safety

A safety in a football game is scored when any of the following conditions occur: The ball carrier is tackled or forced out of bounds in his own end zone. The ball becomes dead in the end zone, with the exception of an incomplete forward pass, and the defending team is responsible for it being there.  Be sure everyone gets home safely from your party, especially if they’ve been drinking. Always serve alcohol alternatives and arrange rides or have your guests use Uber.

Employee Ownership

“The key difference is quite simple. Employees own the business,” says the CEO, Steve Marino. “I think it’s the perfect model for a service business in Southwest Florida. What we offer employees is a piece of their business. When someone is vested, when they own a stake in something, they are more likely to stay. What does this mean to our customers? Our employees really care that every experience you have, every service that is done is TOP NOTCH.”
